
HMAA Observer Program
May-June 2026 in Houston, USA
The purpose of the HMAA Observer Program is to facilitate the professional exchange of medical doctors and to expand the experience and knowledge of participating in medical professionals.
Available Specialties
Applicants may apply for vascular ultrasound observerships in the following fields:
- Neurology /Radiology/ Vascular Surgery
at Houston Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas, USA
Program Availability – Currently available period: May–June 2026 (2 months)
Eligibility – Applicants must be members of the Hungarian Medical Association of America (HMAA).
Participant Responsibilities – Selected visiting scholars are responsible for covering the following costs:
- Hospital application fee: $450 (includes ID badge)
- HMAA application fee (donation): $200
- Round-trip airfare
- Health insurance
- Meals
- Housing: $750 per month.
*Accommodation will be provided in the HMAA-arranged house under the following conditions:
- Two participants share one room and one bathroom
- Only accepted participants may stay in the housing (no pets, children, partners, spouses, or visitors)
Application Requirements
All documents must be submitted by email in a single combined PDF file named with the applicant’s name (e.g.: Lastname_Firstname_HMAA_Observer_Application.pdf).
The application package must include:
- Completed Application Form (Download here: https://hmaa.org/download/fellowship-application/ )
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English – scanned, signed original
- Letter of motivation / intent in English – scanned, signed original
- Passport-size photograph – scanned
- Membership confirmation
- Donation confirmation
Incomplete applications will automatically be rejected.
